Our Home:)

Now that we are a little more settled into our home (I just love the sound of that, our home:) we need to document this! After looking for 10 months and having a roller coaster ride of A LOT of up and downs, we landed this beauty. It was well worth the wait I tell ya. We actually looked at this house because Ty wanted to fill some time up with our realtor. After looking at it on-line we figured might as well. Sure glad we did! We walked in and both became quite because it looked a tons better than the pictures showed it. Needless to say we loved it and wanted it:) Then after a couple of more ups and downs we signed the dirty deed and now it is ours.
The first thing we did was to finish the masterbath.....the pictures tell you why:) What you don't see in this picture is the big ole hole next to the toilet where a baday use to be....just gross. So this house at one point was pink on the outside and then pink bathroom and carpet. Thankfully for us this bathroom was the only remnant.

Our garage was the storage place for our new stuff arriving

Now to see what our house looks like now:) Here is our living room when you walk in the front door.

Living room opens right up to the dining area

From the table you can see through the kitchen and down into the family room

The previous owners redid the kitchen and all the flooring in the house, which we really like

I promise the family room doesn't look like this anymore, things are put away and it looks orderly:)

From the family room it goes to the laundry and 1/2 bath which you can't see on the right side. Door leads out to garage.

So standing in the living room you can see the family room and then these stairs go up to where the 4 bedrooms are

Masterbedroom

And our newly redone masterbath!!! We like it lots:)

One of the other bedrooms

The guest bath....the green doesn't offend us at all. So it shall stay:)

Another bedroom which holds some storage and also our food storage. The nifty little door there opens up to a crawl space

YAY for crawl space!!! Lots of storage room

And now the last bedroom......the guest room which includes a walkout balcony.

2 car garage which is a legit 2 car garage. Look how much room Bingo gets! One day we hope to put in some nice shelves. The best thing is you don't have to worry when you open the car doors that it will hit the wall or the truck.

On the west side of the house is this nice cement pad where the boat lies.....This past weekend the car port people showed up and now the boat has its own little home.

West side of the house. The balcony you see is where the guest bedroom is. I forgot to get a pick of the backyard. It has some fruit trees and some grass.....YAY FOR GRASS IN NM!!!! pics will follow when we get the garden going.

Now for the street view.

Look mom!

Back in the fall Ty got me a sewing machine. Scared and excited for this piece of fine workmanship. So to test out the water I made this quilt with strait lines and I love it! It was fun and easy to cut out the pieces and then sew them together. A great project to work on on my days off and during the evening. Now my next project is to finish off all the baby fleece material that I had bought like 2-3 years ago. My mom is sooooo good to me. She pre-cut all the material for me, LOVE HER! I watched the tutorial on youtube and got to work. Very easy and fun, yes fun to do:)

My little work station, lovely uh:)

 My first project all finished

All the baby blankets and burp rags that my mom pre-cut for me

Watching Twister while pinning the materials together.....love this show but man it still gives me nightmares

My mom is so good to me! After cutting out the material for me she kept the materials together with the burp rags!

My happy face:)

And this is why I still have nightmares with this movie....SICK

Thanksgiving Adventure!

Skipper and Sue came down for Thanksgiving this year. It's always fun to have family come down to visit. Here is the kitchen set up. Wished I would have taken pictures of all the yummy food and our thanksgiving day crew. So the crew consisted of the Skipper, Sue, Henry & Jana (Ty's really good friends), and Alex an intern down here at Sandia. Lots of good food and great company.

The next day we went to Tent Rocks National Monument. This beauty came around due to the volcanoes way back in the day and the weather. I am glad we went but man it was WAY BUSY! had to wait 30-40 minutes to even get into the park....lots of people here on break with family.

So the trail takes you back into a canyon and this rad tree was there. The tree was huge and the roots were just cool.

Here we are entering the "narrow" part of the hike. This is also the beginning of the snow we encountered. Some snow but a lot of it was ice due to people tromping it down and then freezing.

Sue and the Skipper

This was the last part of the hike. Switch backs up the mountain side. Ty's folks decided that they would turn around and start making their way back due to the steep climb and all the ice. Ty and I were making our way pretty good and almost got to the end but the ranger turned us around because they would be closing soon. We asked how much further to the end....oh about 500 feet, BLAST! Then we had to go downhill on the ice. That took us a lot longer than going up. I mainly slid on my shoes and behind down the trail. A lot of people on the train caused us to slow down more too.

We really enjoyed this hike and we are excited to hike it again when there is no snow so we can finish it. It was fun to have Ty's parents down and to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. We also did sealings at the temple of family history names that Sue brought down. Also we had fun playing games, eating great food, and of course basketball:) We LOVE when family comes to visit!!!!
