Summer 2017 trip to Utah

Another road trip up to Utah was in order. Yes we had gotten back not too long ago after Ickles got married. But we were excited to head up again. This year it was my side of the family for the vacation. Bear Lake here we come!

Elise helping to pack

Bronson discovering he can fit in a bag, hmmmmm, this could be helpful.

And off we go with Twisters breakfast burritos. This picture was taken for Evan Rude's sake. Trying to entice him to come back down.

There were many stops along the way. I feel like we are getting better at this game. We look ahead on google maps for parks so I can feed Elise and the Hams can get some much needed energy out. Totally scored on the Kawanis park in Moab. AMAZING! Big beautiful trees with lots of shade, grass which was actually green, different play areas.

Met up with the Grays for some much needed pool time.

Took a train ride with Grandma Sue from AF to West Jordan and straight back to AF. Perfect!

As you can see he was not happy about the interruption to look at the camera and smile.

Had lunch at this lovely place after the train ride.

We are pretty lucky our kiddos do pretty good in the car.

Went up to our old stomping grounds. So much has changed at USU. Almost a totally new place. Still holds a place in my heart.

Ton of construction. Lots new buildings coming up.

Logan Cemetery. I loved this place. Good for Sunday walks or a run.

Rested our bottoms on grass with some yummy Aggie ice cream.

Met up with my family at the Zoo. We spent the night in Logan then drove the rest of the way to Bear Lake.

One day the resort we were staying at had a sand castle competition. My dad has always been into sandcastles. So we had an upper hand. Came in 2nd place if I remember right.

Lots of games were played and enjoyed.

much needed cousin time.

Then the sad day came we had to leave. Drove from Bear Lake down through Colorado to get home. Beautiful scenery! I may or may not have gotten car sick, really twisty turny roads.
