The Long Haul Trip of 2018 part 1

Leg 1 of our trip: driving to Montana and visiting various places along the way. From ABQ we drove to Rocky Mountain National Park in CO. Beautiful scenery up I-25.

Gave the kiddos some playing card. Bronson loves to play and stack the cards, Elise likes to eat the cards.

Surprisingly she can hold her leg up for a very very very long time. I was impressed.

Our first stop was for lunch at a Bird refuge. Total bust. They were closed down. However, ample of space for the kiddies to run around and find sticks. The scenery kind of reminded me of Grandma and Grandpa Allen's place.

Busy boards are two thumbs up

Ever since we made plans to go to Rocky Mountain National Park and driving through Denver. . . . Cafe Rio was on the list for dinner. So dang good!

After dinner we let the kids run around this random park. Bronson was collecting leaves from a tree with the help of Elise. He then informed me the leaves were carrots and they were for Jesus who lived in the big building.

Arrived at Rocky National Park and stayed in Estes Park. BEAUTIFUL! Free bus shuttling nailed it out of the park. The kids loved riding the buses to our different hikes. So much better than having to find a parking spot and putting kids back in their car seats.

On our first shuttle both kids fell asleep, perfection!

These markers saved us and Bronson for hiking. He needed to touch each one. Almost Monk like, you know the show.

The next day after driving into the park we then made another long drive to Buffalo WY. The kiddies did pretty good.

The sketchy Rode side inn. HATED IT. So scary. Moving on

Ty randomly suggested stopping at the Battle of Little Bighorn. So happy we stopped.

Back in the car and going to Helena MT!

Stopped at a park in Bozeman. Told Ty I wanted to move here. He refused. Said the winters are too bad.
